Are the free apps really free?
Yes. Apps marked Free or Lite can be downloaded for £0 — most through Gumroad, with some (like our GCSE revision apps and Quick Notes) opening or downloading directly from this site. There's no hidden trial period or forced upgrade.
Do I need to create an account?
The apps themselves generally do not require an account, although Gumroad may ask for basic information (like an email address) to process the download or purchase.
Do I need to install anything?
Most apps open directly in a modern browser once downloaded — there's usually nothing to install in the traditional sense.
Will they work on Windows and Mac?
Browser-based HTML apps should work on modern browsers on both Windows and macOS. If a specific app has different requirements, this will be noted on its product page.
Do they work offline?
Standalone apps that contain all required content can work offline once downloaded. Check the individual app page or Gumroad listing to confirm before relying on offline access.
What is the difference between Lite and Pro?
Lite versions provide the core tool free of charge. Pro versions add additional functionality — such as more advanced options or features suited to regular use — and are sold separately as their own product.
Is there a subscription?
No. Current Pro mini apps are individual, one-off purchases unless a product listing specifically states otherwise.
Where are downloads hosted?
Teacher tools and their Pro upgrades are handled securely through Gumroad — the Teacher Vault website is the discovery and information hub, and Gumroad delivers the actual files. GCSE revision apps and Quick Notes study guides are the exception: they open or download directly from this website, with no Gumroad step.
Are revision apps free?
Yes. Teacher Vault revision apps marked Free are free to download and use, with no subscription required.
Can schools use them?
