Pattern Detective

What this practises: spotting and continuing a repeating pattern — an important early reasoning and pre-maths skill.

Suggested age range: approximately 3–5 years. Start with the easiest pattern and only move on when it feels simple.

How adults can help: point to each shape in turn and say it out loud together ("circle, square, circle, square..."). The Clue button groups the pattern to make the repeat easier to spot.
